Three years have passed since the release of the Finality AT Gear Drive-Generation 1. Now we are introducing an enhanced version, Finality AT Gear Drive Generation 2. We've made many changes and improvements based on user feedback.

Finality AT Gear Drive system

A multi-component gear drive system consisting of three key components:

• Finality Wheel Hub (FWB)
• Finality Gear Drive (FGD)
• Finality Wheel Rim (FWR)

Finality Wheel Hub (FWB) System

After designing and riding multiple styles of boards for thousands of kilometers, we were never satisfied with the wheel mounting and driving system. It has always been a major vulnerability in the design. The exposed bearings, lack of precision, complicated assembly process, and weight issues led us to completely redesign this mounting and driving system from scratch. Drawing upon our motorsports experience and consulting with several experts in the field, we are excited to introduce a new way to mount and drive wheels on electric boards: the Finality Wheel Hub System (FWB).

Through a thorough system redesign, inspired by car wheel hubs, we have created a new wheel hub system featuring dual angular contact ball bearings and a five-bolt mounting pattern. This innovative approach not only securely attaches the wheel rim to the trucks and drivetrain but also provides enhanced freedom of rotation, thanks to the unique use of bearings.

Finality Wheel Rim (FWR)

After redesigning the wheel hub system, we needed to make new wheel rims for the wheels. After removing bearings and just having a 5-bolt mounting mechanism using M6 hardened bolts, which each can withstand more than 100kg, we can provide the most rigid, light, and accurate wheel-spinning experience.

The new wheel rim consists of 2 parts .

There are two options for the wheel rim design:

Finality AT Gear Drive (FGD) System

After releasing the previous generation of our top-rated gear construction, we are introducing an upgraded gear system to this setup. The CNC-machined aluminum housing, featuring a specialized plastic gear made from high-strength PEEK plastic and a steel motor gear, creates a pure helical gear design, ensuring optimal power transmission and noise reduction. With a fully sealed structure and a double angular contact ball bearing construction, this system guarantees peak gear efficiency. The new gear includes a sturdy mounting bolt adapter for the suspension. The traditional V-ring adapter seal has been replaced with a new rotating seal design.

To install or replace an existing motor, there's no need to disassemble the entire gear assembly. Simply loosen the tension adjustment (backlash) screws and remove the motor along with the pinion and adapter.
